A report earlier this month indicated that WWE commentator Wade Barrett has taken a leave of absence from his broadcasting duties and is “off the road” indefinitely. However, a specific reason for his time off was not provided. Barrett later clarified that he personally requested this break from his WWE TV responsibilities.
According to PWInsider.com, Barrett's absence from WWE TV is indeed due to his own request. While it is unclear how long he will be away, he is expected to be gone for “several weeks.” Despite his absence, he is still listed as part of the commentary team for this weekend's WWE WrestlePalooza.
WWE WrestlePalooza is scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 20th, at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana.
