Randy Orton is set to face Cody Rhodes for the WWE Undisputed Title at WrestleMania, where the two will headline Night One.
The stipulation attached to the match involves Pat McAfee, who has stated that he will leave WWE forever if Orton fails to capture the title from Rhodes, strongly leading to the assumption that Orton is a heavy favorite to win. However, on the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer suggested that the result is not a lock.
According to Meltzer, Orton "is hurting" and might need to take time off following WrestleMania. While details of what ails him is unknown, if Orton is set to take a leave, it would make little sense for WWE to put the title on him ahead of that absence.
However, Meltzer conceded that McAfee leaving WWE and never doing anything for the company again is not going to happen so the plan would still appear to be an Orton win. Furthermore, WWE is still planning a tag team match for the May Backlash event which would see McAfee and Orton team up to take on the duo of Cody Rhodes and Jelly Roll, which would appear to confirm that McAfee isn't going anywhere nor that WWE expects Orton to take time off immediately after WrestleMania.
