On the latest installment of his weekly podcast, Talk Is Jericho, All Elite Wrestling (AEW) star Chris Jericho spoke about the differences between AEW and other pro wrestling upstart promotions over the years, as well as his own personal return to the TNT cable television network when AEW premieres their weekly show later this year.
During the show, Jericho spoke about how the emergence of AEW has been different from past upstart promotions, such as Ring Of Honor and Impact Wrestling.
"We’ve never seen the start of a legit big money big-time organization," Jericho explained.
Also during the episode, Jericho realized that returning to wrestle on TNT for AEW will mark 20 years since his last match on the cable network, as he wrestled Booker T on WCW Nitro on the same network over two decades ago.
"What I didn’t realize, what I forgot was that TNT used to be the home of WCW Nitro," Jericho said. "How huge is that? Here I am, exactly 20 years after my last match on Nitro against Booker T about ready to return to the TNT network."
Jericho concluded, "Who would have thought that?"
