Daniel Bryan Moved To The Alumni Section Of WWE's Official Website

It was previously reported that this past Friday night's episode of SmackDown saw Daniel Bryan lose a WWE Universal Championship Main Event Match to WWE Universal Champion "The Tribal Chief" Roman Reigns and as part of the match stipulations, he has now been banned from Friday Night SmackDown.

Just recently, WWE moved Daniel Bryan to the alumni section of their official website, a section that is reserved for former WWE Stars. Bryan can be found between former WWE Superstars Damien Sandow (who now competes in NWA as Aron Stevens), and Darren Young (who now competes on New Japan Pro Wrestling's Strong as Fred Rosser).

WWE usually moves their talent to the alumni section of their website if it is storyline related. The most recent example was when NXT’s Roderick Strong “resigned” from the brand on the April 13 episode. It is interesting to note that WWE moving Daniel Bryan to the alumni section, along with Bryan losing to Roman Reigns could dictate what the future holds for the former WWE Champion as he has revealed in the past that he is looking to become more of a part time wrestler as he has even acknowledged asking WWE to allow him to work for other companies.

Bryan has also talked about his contractual situation with WWE, noting in several interviews that his deal, which he signed back in 2018, is set to expire this year. There has been rumors and speculation that Bryan’s contract would expire in September, but he clarified in a recent interview that his deal would not expire that month, though he didn’t provide further details.
