Details On WWE Reportedly Looking To Make First NXT Show On CW Network a Major Episode

-- WWE's weekly NXT program moves over to the CW Network later this fall and earlier today, the network confirmed that the show will launch on their channel on the same day in the same time slot beginning Tuesday, October 1 at 8pm ET.

-- According to pwinsiderelite.com, it is believed that the show itself won't be a normal one as WWE has made early plans to hold that first episode outside of the company's Performance Center in Orlando and rather broadcast it live from a "major arena" on the road. Both WWE and CW are said to be approaching that inaugural episode as a "major event" as it will be the first time NXT will be getting broadcast television exposure; one source within WWE compared its importance to that of an early NXT TakeOver.

-- As for where that first show will be held, the report adds that several different markets are being considered with Chicago, IL being the one most frequently mentioned in recent days. Chicago is also the home of the Nexstar Media Group which is the parent company that owns the CW Network and was responsible for completing the media deal with WWE to bring NXT over.
