Edge Releases Statement Ahead Of WrestleMania 37: "10 Years Ago Today I Was Forced To Retire ..."

Tonight is a big night in the WWE career of pro wrestling legend Adam "Edge" Copeland.

The WWE Hall of Fame mega-star returns to headline WrestleMania 37 night two this evening at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, as he challenges Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship in a triple-threat match that includes Daniel Bryan, after being forced into retirement years ago due to medical issues.

Ahead of the big triple-threat main event on "The Grandest Stage of Them All" this evening, which streams live via the WWE Network on Peacock TV, "The Rated-R Superstar" took to social media to comment on the significance of tonight.

Featured below is what Edge had to say in the tweet before getting ready for what is arguably the biggest match of his already legendary Hall of Fame sealed career in WWE.

"10 years ago today I was forced to retire. Forfeit the World Heavyweight Championship. Tonight, I main event WrestleMania against two of the very best to ever do this for the Universal Championship. We all have the power to write our own stories."
