EVOLVE Champion Austin Theory, Former MCW Star Debut At NXT Daytona House Show (Videos & Photos)

EVOLVE Champion Austin Theory made his official NXT debut at the non-televised live event in Daytona, Florida.

Theory lost in singles action to Bronson Reed during the NXT Daytona house show on Thursday night in what was described as a "good back-and-forth match with some impressive moments by both."

The finish saw Reed hit his big top-rope splash for the 1-2-3 and the pin fall victory.

Austin Theory was one of the recent group of WWE signees that reported to the WWE Performance Center in August. He wrestled on the WWE Network once before, beating JD Drake at the EVOLVE 10th Anniversary show in July that WWE streamed live via their digital subscription service.

Also debuting at the NXT Daytona show this week was Tehuti Miles, another member of last month's WWE Performance Center group of signees.

Miles, an Army veteran who played on the University of Maryland college football team and has worked for Maryland Championship Wrestling (MCW) in the past, lost in a quick match to NXT Superstar Cameron Grimes.
