Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Set To Make His Pro Wrestling Return For AAA

Former WWE Star and UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez had a conversation with Cyrus Fees of The Corner this past July on how he will be making his pro wrestling return for the lucha-libre promotion AAA this coming December. An announcement was made by AAA President Dorian Joaquín Roldán Peña at the Heroes Inmortales XIV Event last Saturday that Cain Velasquez is set to make his pro wrestling return for AAA on December 4th, but an opponent has yet to be named.

In August 2019, Cain Velasquez made his AAA debut at the TripleMania XXVII Event in Mexico City, when he teamed with Cody Rhodes and Psycho Clown. Cain Velasquez would then sign with WWE in October 2019, and would have his first and only televised WWE Match at the 2019 WWE Crown Jewel PPV in Saudi Arabia where he was defeated by Brock Lesnar in just over two minutes.

Cain Velasquez last appeared for the WWE at a house show in Mexico City in November of 2019 and would be later released in April of 2020 due to budget cuts.
