Actor Freddie Prinze Jr. reviewed Survivor Series 2025 on his latest podcast and made some comments about WWE's relationship with ESPN that is sure to raise eyebrows.
Prinze, who is a former WWE employee himself, claimed that ESPN is unhappy with the new media rights deal that they signed with WWE to air domestic premium live events on their app.
"ESPN, by the way, is so unhappy with the deal. I was talking to a friend of mine who works for Disney, and he was just like, ‘Yo, they’re so… they better make their money back on this deal.’ Like, he said they’re hot."
After earlier expressing frustration with the ESPN app that causes him to get signed out frequently, Prinze joked that "we" (he and his audience) have to buy more WWE PLEs to turn around ESPN's opinion of the media deal.
