Jim Ross Talks About WWE Talent Stepping Up At SummerSlam, Watching WWE PPV & Ric Flair's Last Match

Jim Ross enjoyed a good weekend of pro wrestling entertainment.

During the latest edition of his "Grilling J.R." podcast, the WWE Hall of Fame legend and All Elite Wrestling commentator spoke about watching the WWE SummerSlam and JCP Presents: Ric Flair's Last Match shows from this past weekend.

"I watched it from start to finish," Ross said of the 35th annual SummerSlam event from this past Saturday night. "I enjoyed it; I thought they did a great job. I enjoyed the show, and hats off to Triple H and his staff for circling the wagons as quickly as they did, coming up with an outstanding effort on pay-per-view. Their talents stepped up."

'Good Ole' J.R.' continued, explaining how it's always encouraging to see talent step up when it counts, as well as how he watched the Flair comeback show the following evening.

"A lot of the younger guys and other guys stepped up, and it’s always encouraging to see that happen," he said. "In any event, it’s been a good week to be a wrestling fan starting for me on Saturday night and then Sunday night with [Ric Flair’s Last Match]."
