Last Sunday at Dustin Rhodes’ Rhodes Wrestling Association, indie wrestling star Jimmy House received a WWE ID contract from pro wrestling legend and WWE ID player/coach Timothy Thatcher, as reported by the official WWE ID Twitter account.
The WWE ID Twitter account announced, “BREAKING….
@coachjimmyhouse was just given a WWE ID contract by WWE ID Player/Coach Timothy Thatcher at @RhodesWrestling!
Congrats and welcome, Jimmy House!”
House participated in WWE’s tryout in January of this year and has been wrestling for three years, competing for promotions such as Reality of Wrestling and Phoenix Championship Wrestling. He recently had a match on the December 2nd episode of ROH TV on HonorClub, where he took part in a six-man tag team match against the Dark Order.
The company has been announcing new ID talent recently, and a report from Fightful Select noted that more deals will be revealed in the coming weeks.
The WWE ID program is designed to sign independent talent, providing them access to WWE resources while they continue to work in the indie scene. Several wrestling schools, including Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling and Cody Rhodes and QT Marshall’s Nightmare Factory, are affiliated with the program. Talent under contract also often works matches on WWE EVOLVE.
