Latest Update On Plans For Upcoming Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide PLE

According to a report from Wrestlevotes Radio on Fightful Select, plans are in place for the Lucha Libre World Cup to be held on Saturday, May 30th, at Arena Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico. The report also mentioned that the previously announced plans for a U.S. taping of AAA on FOX seem to be “in flux,” as a source within AAA pushed back against this idea. Additionally, it's important to note that WWE is advertising a show on the same date at Gimnasio Olimpico in Mexico City.

Further details from the report indicate that both Fightful and WrestleVotes have confirmed the U.S. taping was previously listed internally. WrestleVotes noted that it was originally planned for the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California.

The Lucha Libre World Cup has been held multiple times by AAA since 2015, with the most recent event occurring in 2023. This tournament features teams representing various regions of the world, showcasing talent from several international promotions alongside AAA.

AAA’s next major event, Rey de Reyes, is scheduled for this weekend and will be aired in three parts on AAA on FOX, available on FOX in Latin America and on YouTube in the U.S.
