Long-Time WWE Employee Jim Shank Passes Away At The Age Of 60

A veteran WWE employee who worked for the company for more than a quarter of a century has passed away.

Jim Shank, who worked on WWE's production team, and had been with the promotion for 26 years died last week following a courageous battle with colorectal cancer. He had celebrated his 60th birthday less than two weeks ago.

Shank began with WWE in 1999 during the peak of the Attitude Era and recently held a role as Technical Operations Manager, operating WWE's remote controlled and robotic cameras. He was extremely well liked backstage and was said to be one of the most pleasant people to work with.

Last year, a GoFundMe was started to assist Shank with new cancer treatments and several WWE personalities donated - including Vince McMahon, who topped the list at $122,500 as well as wrestlers Kevin Owen, Randy Orton, Alexa Bliss, Cody Rhodes and Chris Jericho.
