-- Last month, it was reported that the AEW tag team of the Lucha Brothers - Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix - were nearing the ends of their respective deals with the company and that if AEW failed to sign them, there would be significant interest from WWE in bringing them in. As it turns out, the internal expectation is now that the team is indeed departing AEW.
-- Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Live and Ibou of Wrestling Purists are both reporting that not only are Penta and Fenix on their way out of AEW, but that they are headed over to WWE once they are legally able to. Interestingly, a Trios Championship match that was set for All In involving the two has been changed due to his latest news.
-- While the exact details of the two contracts are not known, it is believed that Penta's deal runs out sometime between August and September while all that is clear about Fenix's agreement is that it also is expiring at some point in 2024. The Lucha Brothers have been with AEW since the company's inception in 2019 and have held multiple titles between the two of them.
