More On Becky Lynch Taking Extended Time Off From WWE; Natalya Contract Update

-- Becky Lynch lost the Women's World Title to Liv Morgan last weekend at WWE's King & Queen of the Ring event and then posted to social media the caption "to be continued" the following Monday after another loss to Morgan. As reported already, Lynch's contract expires tomorrow - June 1 - and she is expected to take an extended leave of absence. There are no indications that she will be re-signing a contract anytime soon with WWE or any other promotion.

-- In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer speculated that the plan has always been for Lynch to take time off after WrestleMania and in fact, she would have likely already been off TV if not for the injury to Rhea Ripley. He wrote that WWE "brought her back in a short program to get over Morgan and have Morgan win the title from someone credible to build Morgan up for the Ripley program. It was described to us as not a retirement, but a very extended absence."

-- In the same newsletter, Meltzer also reported that WWE has offered veteran Natalya a new contract, but as of this week, she has yet to sign it.
