As previously reported, WWE officials were very pleased with the mixed tag team match at WrestlePalooza featuring AJ Lee and CM Punk against Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins. Lynch, in particular, received a great deal of praise for how she carried the match, with much of the recognition coming after the contest had concluded. The bout also marked Lee’s first match in 10 years and the longest of her career.
According to Fightful Select, Lynch has built a strong reputation for working effectively with talents returning after long absences. Sources within WWE highlighted her past matches with Lita at Elimination Chamber 2022, Nikki Bella at Clash in Paris, and Trish Stratus in 2023 as prime examples.
The praise for Lynch reportedly comes from multiple areas within the company, including members of the roster, with many noting that she views working with returning stars as an exciting challenge. Additionally, the report states that several women making comebacks have specifically requested to work with Lynch.
