NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver, Night Two Quick Recap

Matches Tonight: 6
  • Our Pre-Show match was for the #1 Contender tag spot. Drake Maverick & Killian Dain defeated Breezango in a short, but highly enjoyable match that saw Dain repeatedly use his partner as a weapon.
  • Our opening match saw Santos Escobar, aided by his Legado del Fantasma teammates, defeat Jordan Devlin to become the undisputed Cruiserweight Champion.
  • In a bout for the NXT Women's Tag Team Championship, Ember Moon & Shotzi Blackheart retained over The Way. Solid match with big spots and, unfortunately, a very scary botch by Shotzi but she finished the match and appeared okay.
  • In singles competition, Johnny Gargano defeated Bronson Reed with the assistance of Austin Theory to remain the North American Champion.
  • In a grueling match, Karrion Kross defeated Finn Bálor to become a two-time NXT Champion and improve his winning streak to 13-0.
  • In our final match of the night, Kyle O'Reilly defeated Adam Cole in a brutal, 40-minute match that lived up to the hype.
Miscellaneous Non-Match Segments of Note:
  • Candice LeRae wore Thor-inspired entrance gear and her husband, Johnny Gargano, wore War Machine-inspired entrance gear. Not Iron Man. Vic Joseph is a tool who can't differentiate, apparently.
