Reason For Pro Wrestling Legend’s Recent Absence From AEW TV Clarified

WrestlePurists reports that WWE Hall of Famer and professional wrestling legend Billy Gunn has clarified his recent absence from AEW television. This clarification follows Gunn's comments during an interview with Fuel & Flex (as reported by Fightful), where he mentioned that he still has stress fractures in his back.

According to a statement from Gunn's representative reported by WrestlePurists, he is in good health, and the stress fractures are an old injury he has managed for years. This condition is not affecting his wrestling or training. The representative also indicated that Gunn's absence from AEW is simply due to a lack of booking by the creative team.

Gunn last appeared on AEW programming during the August 23rd episode of Collision, where he came to the ring to save Max Caster after Anthony Bowens began attacking his former Acclaimed tag team partner. Gunn intervened and told Bowens to back off.
