Report: Jake Hager To Compete Against UFC Legend Jon Jones In Grappling Match In December

Jake Hager has an incredibly tough test ahead of him.

The AEW star and Inner Circle member, who is also a Bellator MMA heavyweight fighter, has signed to compete against consensus pound for pound UFC legend Jon "Bones" Jones in a grappling match.

On Saturday, the Hager-Jones grappling match was unofficially announced when the former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion wrote about the bout on his official Twitter feed.

"Breaking News!! I'm excited to announce I'll be competing for the number one grappling organization in the world, Fury Grappling," wrote Jones. "December 9th I’ll be in New Jersey competing against WWE superstar and undefeated Bellator heavyweight Jack Swagger."

Hager responded to the tweet from Jones claiming that nothing has been signed as of yet.

"First of all it’s AEW and undefeated Bellator MMA heavyweight Jake Hager," wrote Hager in a reply to the initial Jones tweet. "Secondly no terms have been discussed or contract signed. We can talk if terms are right."
