Report: WWE Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio Expected Back On TV Very Soon

Reigning WWE Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio is set to return from injury and it could happen as early tonight's episode of WWE Monday Night Raw.

PWInsider Elite reported that Mysterio - who has been sidelined since the end of December due to a shoulder injury - is expected back on WWE TV "imminently" and there have been internal discussions on having him appear on tonight's episode - the first show after Royal Rumble.

The shoulder injury Mysterio has been dealing with was never considered serious as evidenced by the fact that WWE continued to keep the IC title on him rather than pivot to a different route by having him vacate the belt. Mysterio is already announced to be defending another title he currently possesses - the AAA Mega Championship - next month against El Hijo Del Vikingo at AAA's Rey de Reyes event.

Mysterio's return would comes after some question marks surrounding his Judgment Day stable. Liv Morgan won the women's Royal Rumble match on Saturday but in the process, had to eliminate fellow Judgment Day member Raquel Rodriguez. Rodriguez wrestles tonight in a Philadelphia Street Fight on Raw tonight against Stephanie Vaquer for the Women's World Title with Morgan waiting in the wings for her title shot following the Rumble win. WWE has also been teasing a Finn Balor face turn.
