-- Rhea Ripley is back on WWE TV after a three month absence but has yet to engage in any sort of physicality with Liv Morgan (or anyone else for that matter) and according to pwinsider.com, that is the way it is expected to be until SummerSlam on August 3.
-- As per their story, Ripley is not expected to wrestle until then because she is not 100% cleared for physicality but that sources believe that she will progress through that process and gain clearance by the time SummerSlam rolls around. That would mean that that Ripley is not only not going to be wrestling before SummerSlam, but likely won't be getting physical in any form until she gets the green light from WWE doctors. As such, the story will continue to include lots of teases and near conflicts between Ripley and Liv Morgan for now.
-- One of the talking points backstage was to hold off on Ripley's return until SummerSlam or even Raw the night after but ultimately, the decision was made to go with Ripley vs. Morgan, in part because Ripley herself is believed to have gone to officials and voiced her strong opinion that she would be ready to go for SummerSlam.
-- The former Women's champion was hurt during a backstage brawl in April, believed to be during a spot where Morgan threw Ripley into a wall, injuring her AC joint where the collarbone and right shoulder meet. It was seen as a freak injury but required a lengthy absence that forced Ripley to vacate her title.
