A shocking, unexpected heel turn kicked off Sunday night's WWE Fastlane 2019 pay-per-view.
After losing in their attempt to recapture their SmackDown Tag-Team Championships from The Usos in the opening match at Sunday night's PPV at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio, Shane McMahon turned heel and attacked The Miz in his hometown.
McMahon laid out The Miz at ringside in front of his dad, George Mizanin. This included an attack and a submission that he forced his father to watch up-close and personal. He also put his hands on The Miz's dad himself.
The expectation is that this angle is the beginning of a program that will culminate in a match between Shane McMahon and The Miz at WrestleMania 35 next month.
