Official SummerSlam 2025 Two-Night Preview
The two-night SummerSlam Preview has been updated by WWE! For the first-time ever, SummerSlam is a two-night event. Would be nice if they'd embraced the old "biggest party of the summer" motifs and themes, especially as it's a weekend event. Airing live from East Rutherford, New Jersey's MetLife Stadium, both nights this weekend have a 6pm EST start time. That's 5pm Central, 4pm Mountain, and 3pm Pacific.
The show starts at 6pm Eastern, not 7pm as I erroneously wrote earlier. Apologies about any confusion!
There are 12 matches on tap for this weekend's two-night premium live event. Please note: one match is tentatively scheduled for night two (which would be 6 matches per night). I'm writing this as SmackDown airs. I'll update the article Saturday morning with any last-minute changes but, as of this writing, here's the tentative card broken down by night:
Night One:
- World Heavyweight Championship Match: Gunther(c) vs CM Punk.
- WWE Women's Championship Match: Tiffany Stratton(c) vs Jade Cargill.
- Tag Team Match: Randy Orton & Jelly Roll vs Drew McIntyre & Logan Paul.
- WWE Women's Tag Team Championship Match: The Judgment Day(c) vs Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair.
- Tag Team Match: Roman Reigns & Jey Uso vs Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed.
- Singles Match: Sami Zayn vs Karrion Kross.
Night Two:
- Undisputed WWE Championship Street Fight Match: John Cena(c) vs Cody Rhodes.
- Women's World Championship Match: Naomi(c) vs Iyo Sky vs Rhea Ripley.
- Women's Intercontinental Championship Match: Becky Lynch(c) vs Lyra Valkyria.
- United States Championship Steel Cage Match: Solo Sikoa(c) vs Jacob Fatu.
- Intercontinental Championship Match: Dominik Mysterio(c) vs AJ Styles.
- WWE Tag Team Championship TLC Match: The Wyatt Sicks(c) vs DIY vs the Street Profits vs Andrade & Rey Fenix vs the Motor City Machine Guns vs Fraxiom. NOTE: this match is rumored for night two as it would provide balance to the force.
Catch all this action both nights this weekend, starting at 6pm! There will be 3 hours of pre-show coverage on the Peacock network before the start of each night's main card; however, no matches are currently announced or expected for it.
