Swerve Strickland Reveals How Much Longer He Plans To Wrestle

Swerve Strickland has announced that fans have five more years with him before he walks away from wrestling.

Strickland, who has become one of AEW's top stars, signed a lucrative contract extension in 2024. Recently, he confirmed that he is under contract with AEW until 2029.

On March 26, Strickland took to X (fka Twitter), stating, "Y'all got these next 5 years with me, then I'm [peace sign emoji]. Enjoy the show."

With nearly 15 years in the wrestling business, Strickland made his name in promotions like Lucha Underground and MLW before signing with WWE in 2019. He had a standout run as part of Hit Row, but the group was released in November 2021. Strickland joined AEW in 2022, where he's since won both the AEW World Tag Team Championship and the AEW World Championship.

He’s now set to challenge Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship at AEW Dynasty.
