During last night's episode of WWE EVOLVE, interim NXT General Manager Robert Stone entered the ring to announce that pro wrestling legend and former NXT star Timothy Thatcher will take on an authority figure role in EVOLVE, becoming the brand's new General Manager.
In his promo, Stone emphasized that EVOLVE is the future of WWE and highlighted the need for leadership within the brand. He stated that he and WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels had identified the perfect person to lead the organization before introducing Thatcher as the new GM.
Thatcher has been a regular participant in EVOLVE and serves as a player/coach for WWE's ID program. He remains an active in-ring competitor on the independent wrestling scene and was part of the NXT roster from 2020 to 2022. Last year, he returned to the company to work with the WWE ID program. Outside of WWE, Thatcher has performed for various promotions, including DEFY, Warrior Wrestling, and West Coast Pro.
WWE EVOLVE airs every Wednesday night on Tubi.
