TNA Wrestling is kicking off the New Year with a bang.
Coming out of the year-end pay-per-view event at TNA Final Resolution 2024, the first world championship pay-per-view main event of 2025 is now set.
Joe Hendry defeated Steve Maclin, Josh Alexander and Mike Santana in a Fatal-4-Way match at the December 13 pay-per-view in Atlanta, GA. to become the new number one contender to the TNA World Championship, securing his spot in one-half of the TNA Genesis 2025 main event.
The 12/13 PPV event wrapped up with Nic Nemeth successfully defending his TNA World Championship with a victory over AJ Francis, before having an intense face-off with Hendry that closed the show.
Following Friday night's PPV, TNA Wrestling began the official promotional push towards Nemeth vs. Hendry for the world championship at TNA Genesis 2025, which is scheduled to take place live from the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Texas on January 19.
