WWE is gearing up towards WrestleMania 42 less than a month away and the rumored card for the two-night event is expected to feature 14 or 16 matches. Thus far, only a small handful has been announced but in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer had an update with a couple more bouts that are expected to be announced shortly.
According to Meltzer, WWE will make it official that Drew McIntyre will take on Jacob Fatu and AJ Lee will battle Becky Lynch for the Intercontinental title. Previously announced are the two main events, Stephanie Vaquer vs. Liv Morgan and Jade Cargill vs. Rhea Ripley for the two women's titles as well as Oba Femi vs. Brock Lesnar.
While some may question the Fatu-McIntyre match since they are expected to wrestle tonight on Smackdown, Meltzer suggested that tonight's bout was described as being designed to build towards and increase interest in their WrestleMania match.
Also being rumored is a match for Seth Rollins and the report speculated that Rollins would face either Bron Breakker or Logan Paul, dependent on if WWE's medical team clears Breakker for action in time for WrestleMania. Meltzer also hypothesized that a multi-team match for the WWE Women's tag team titles could also be added to the card.
Other matches being rumored include Gunther vs. Rey Mysterio, an El Grande Americano mask-vs-mask match, Carmelo Hayes vs. Ilja Dragunov, Trick Wiliams vs. Sami Zayn and Giulia vs. Tiffany Stratton for the Women's United States title.
