Viewership & Rating For WWE Saturday Night's Main Event

-- WWE's Saturday Night's Main Event specials are back and the first one took place this past Saturday live on primetime on NBC while also simultaneously streaming on Peacock. Many in the industry were interested in how the show would fare from an audience perspective and now we know.

-- According to Variety, the show averaged 1.59 million viewers on NBC with an additional 700,000 viewers streaming it on Peacock. That would bring total live viewers to 2.29 million. The last time WWE aired SNME in 2008, the show attracted an audience of 2.35 million so while the TV viewership is down considerably, even less people have cable TV today than 16 years ago.

-- In the 18-49 demo, SNME drew a 0.42 rating. The show went head-to-head against AEW Collision, the NBA Cup semifinals, and college football’s Heisman Trophy Presentation. The rating (and the audience as well) are actually fairly close in line to what WWE delivers with Raw and Smackdown on a weekly basis.
