Late last year, Rhodes had indicated that he had re-signed a contract with AEW but did not disclose the terms of the deal, however, in the most recent recent article it was noted that the agreement is for six years. It states his role as someone who "consults, coaches, occasionally wrestles and acts as an ambassador" for AEW.
In a continuing trend, WrestleVotes Radio reported today that WWE has scheduled NXT’s annual Heatwave event to take place in South Carolina on August 24 and that it will be the same day that AEW runs their annual AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door in London, England.
Tuesday's WWE NXT averaged 695,000 viewers and a 0.16 rating in the 18-49 demo. Both figures are improvements from last week's 627,000 viewers and 0.15 rating.
