Fresh off the heels of his in-ring retirement and the announcement that he will be part of the upcoming WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2026, AJ Styles looks to be moving into a new role with WWE.
A new report from PWInsider Elite indicates that WWE and Styles have apparently come to terms on a new contract that will keep the veteran wrestler with the company in a backstage, behind-the-scenes capacity.
As per the report, Styles' new role is believed to be helping with WWE's developmental of new, young talent though the exact nature of his new position isn't exactly known.
The 48-year old wrestler retired last month after losing a match against Gunther. Amid rumors that he may be headed to AEW, WWE held a tribute for Styles on Raw this week and then promptly announced that he would be inducted into Hall of Fame. Styles also went on record to shoot down rumors of a jump to AEW before today's report that he has signed a new non-wrestling contract with WWE.
