A brand new tournament will kick off on the January 15th episode of WWE Speed.
During the January 8th episode of WWE Speed, Candice LeRae successfully defended her WWE Women's Speed Championship by defeating Natalya. Following the match, WWE officially announced the start of a new Number One Contender's Tournament for the WWE Speed Championship, set to begin on the January 15th show.
In the opening round of the tournament, Chad Gable will take on NXT's Charlie Dempsey, while Grayson Waller will square off against Chris Sabin.
The winner of the tournament will earn the right to challenge Dragon Lee for the WWE Speed Championship. Lee, who won the title by defeating Andrade on the November 20th episode of WWE Speed, will put his championship on the line against the tournament victor.
