WWE Bad Blood Quick Recap (Oct. 5, 2024)

Matches Tonight: Five (approx. 104 minutes)
  • Hell in a Cell Match: CM Punk vs Drew McIntyre. A very good, and a bit bloody, match that saw Punk win the rubber match. 6:16-6:48 PM EST.
  • WWE Women's Championship Match: Nia Jax(c) vs Bayley. A slower match that saw Jax retain (after Tiff teased cashing-in when Jax was down). 7:06-7:20 PM EST.
  • Singles Match: Damian Priest vs Finn Balor. Despite interference from the Judgment Day, Damian Priest pulled off the win. 7:30-7:47 PM EST.
  • Women's Word Championship Match: Liv Morgan(c) vs Rhea Ripley. Dominik Mysterio was suspended above the ring in a shark cage. A decent match that was interrupted by a returning Raquel Rodriguez, who attacked Rhea and caused the DQ. Liv Morgan retains. No one reacted to Raquel, sadly. 8:19-8:34 PM EST.
  • Tag Team Main Event Match: Cody Rhodes & Roman Reigns vs Solo Sikoa & Jacob Fatu. Solid match that saw Bloodline interference neutralized by a returning Jimmy Uso. Roman & Cody won, and Roman & Jimmy hugged it out. The Rock returned afterwards, but said nothing. 8:55-9:21 PM EST.
Miscellaneous Non-Match Segments of Note:
  • Announced for WWE Programming this Week: Jey Uso defends his Intercontinental Championship against Xavier Woods; Sheamus vs Pete Dunne in a Donnybrook Match; World Heavyweight Champion Gunther vs Sami Zayn.
  • Triple H's Big Announcement: starting at this year's Crown Jewel, there will be a new annual event in which the top men's and women's champions face off against each other to crown the "Crown Jewel champion." No titles will be on the line, it's just for pride (and an ugly belt, similar to Braun's Greatest Royal Rumble belt from a few years ago). After the announcement, Gunther came out to provoke Goldberg (in attendance, in Atlanta). Please make sacrifices to ensure we don't get Gunther vs Goldberg at Crown Jewel.
  • Cameos: Multiple people made appearances on camera in the crowd, including Lil Baby, Quavo, Tully Blanchard, Mickie James, Scott Steiner and DDP (to name a few). The Rock showed up after the main event to pose on the ramp (said nothing at all).
