WWE The Bump Full Recap: (6/16/21)

It’s Wednesday, and that means it’s time for a recap of the WWE YouTube show, The Bump! Today’s edition of the show is full of guests, including King Corbin, Bianca Belair, Tegan Knox, and Kofi Kingston. Now that we’re all caught up on what’s going down, let’s take a look at The Bump!

WWE The Bump

⁃ Kayla kicks off today’s show by telling viewers “we’re gonna have a good time”, and she runs down the list of guests that’ll be on the show today.
⁃ The rest of The Bump crew joins the show, and they all share their thoughts on the latest WWE happenings, until Kayla brings on the first guest.

King Corbin

Kayla welcomes on “the king”, and he’s in a bad mood. Corbin says “Shinsuke stole my new crown.” Kayla follows up, and asks about the crown being on the line this Friday. Corbin gets upset, and questions why he has to fight for his own crown. Corbin adds “this has been unfair from the beginning. It’s been two on one, it’s grand theft, and they should both be going to jail! And now I have to fight for it? How am I the a-hole? I’m the victim!” Matt wonders if the king of strong style deserves a crown, and Corbin tells him “a name doesn’t justify that. You can’t just call yourself super bowl dan and get the trophy.” Kayla asks about Xavier Woods interest in becoming King, and Corbin tells her “everyone wants to be the king. That’s what the crown does to people. At least he wants to earn it, unlike shinsuke.” Matt joins the fun, and he brings up Rick Boogz. Matt asks if Rick fits in any “kingdom”, and Corbin says “a kick from of Jackass’s maybe. Anyone who looks like that should be punched in the face. Who are you? You’ve been here 30 seconds, and you think you can do this?” Matt follows up by asking Corbin about Pat McAfee, who has been very enthusiastic about Boogz appearances. Corbin gets annoyed, and explains “Pat and I were friends, and he’s crossed the line now. It feels like he’s betrayed me. If it continues, he will pay the price, and if need be... I will put him through that table.” Kayla asks a final question, and wonders what a king would be with his crown. Corbin responds, and tells Kayla “when you’re at the level that I’m at, you don’t look at negative situations.” Kayla thanks King Corbin for stopping by, and we’re on to the next guest.

⁃ The Bump crew gives a birthday shoutout Bayley, and Ryan heads to the “big board”.
⁃ When Ryan returns, Kayla welcomes on the Smackdown Women’s Champion.

Bianca Belair

Kayla kicks off the interview by asking Bianca how she’s feeling, heading into her defense on Sunday. Bianca explains “I’m just happy, I’m preparing for the match, and I’m just ready to keep continuing to prove myself over and over again.” Kayla follows by asking about the mind games from Bayley, and Bianca says “I think Bayley knows she can’t go toe to toe with me physically. But I’m not just the toughest physically, I’m the toughest mentally.” Matt chimes in, and he wonders if Bayley has been successful with her tricks. Bianca says “I can’t lie, all the laughing Bayley’s are stuck in my head. She’s been rent free in my head, and I just had to pull a Bayley on Bayley. She knows how it feels now, and the ‘kee kee keeing’ needs to go.” Ryan jumps in, and asks what it is about the tricks that has worked. Bianca explains “it took me back to being a kid again. It’s an insult to my journey. I’m just like ‘why are you doing all this? Because of my moment at Wrestlemania?’ I just can’t wait to shut her mouth at Hell in A Cell.” Kayla rejoins the conversation, and she brings up Bianca’s usage of the ponytail. Bianca says “my braid is my superpower. I don’t use it unless I have to. I always say ‘if you touch my hair I’ll have to use it’. She tried to use it against me to win, and I had to use it on her... she can dish it, but she just can’t take it back.” Matt follows up by asking if there’s any concern Bayley will try to use the braid again, and Bianca tells him “if she’s smart she wouldn’t...I wouldn’t put anything past her though.” Kayla brings the discussion with the champ to a close, and moves on to the next segment.

⁃ Matt brings up “breaking news,” and announces Angelo Dawkins vs Otis will take place on Smackdown.
⁃ Kayla mentions “happier news,” and more tour dates are announced for WWE’s return to the road.
⁃ After a Summerslam plug, Kayla brings on a member of the New Day.

Kofi Kingston

Kayla welcomes Kofi back to the show, and she asks about some sort of news Kofi has. Kingston spills the beans, and he will be a “three-time dad” soon! Kofi goes on to say “I’m almost out of diapers man, I’ve about reached my limit on kids. But we’re really happy!” Kayla gets down to business, and brings up the recent events on Raw. Kofi explains “it was crazy because we’re all watching Riddle and Orton come together. They are so interesting to watch. The fact that they came together, they even have tandem moves! You know they don’t even practice together... so it’s really impressive to see them come together like that. But yeah, I think it’s great to see them gel like they have.” The Bump crew puts up a clip of Kofi’s interaction with MVP, and Kingston responds the footage. Kofi explains “I want to address the fact that I have to go to work now, and look around the dark corners. Like bro this is creepy. I don’t wanna have to be looking over my shoulder for him! It’s like what are we doing bro? What are we doing?!” Kofi explains how he first met MVP, and adds “ever since then he took me under his wing. But over the years, it’s tough. I’ve seen him go down this path, and our philosophy’s are 100% different. I don’t feel like I need help from anyone, let alone MVP. He gets under my skin with the comments.” Kayla thanks Kofi for making an appearance, and it’s time for another Hell In A Cell plug.

⁃ After a brief Wednesday Morning Wake-Up segment, Kayla welcomes the final guest on to the show.

Tegan Knox

Tegan joins the host’s and she’s here to talk about Pride Month. Kayla kicks off the interview by asking how Knox recovery is going, and Tegan says “it’s going well, I can’t wait to come back and make an impact in the ring.” Kayla switches gears, and asks what Pride Month means to Tegan. Knox explains “it’s probably my first time celebrating Pride month. It means alot to have this month and celebrate who we are. We should proud every month of the year.” Tegan adds “I was able to come out to my friends and family on tv, and I’m glad I could help others. I’ve received so many well wishes from fans, and it’s been so cool.” The Bump crew being the segment to an end by wishing Tegan well on her recovery, and the final interview of the day comes to a close.

⁃ The Bump crew hypes NXT UK on the way out, and the show fades to black.
