- WWE holds both Friday Night Smackdown as well as their King and Queen of the Ring premium live event in Saudi Arabia this weekend. Most of WWE's roster and production staff are already in Saudi Arabia, which is one of the reasons that NXT was taped this week. WWE's official X account started a threat with short clips of various talent arriving which you can see here
- CM Punk is scheduled to do some announcing this Friday for the Cage Fury Fighting Championships, which is airing in Philadelphia - a building that is very familiar to Punk. As a result, he is obviously not in Saudi Arabia.
- PWInsider.com reports that there was a WWE tryout of some kind this week at the Performance Center. It consisted of mostly athletes outside of the wrestling industry who were extended an invite to attend.
