Whatever tension existed between WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella and commentator Wade Barrett is over.
Soon after WWE Clash in Paris where she failed to defeat Becky Lynch, Bella expressed a desire to have a conversation with Barrett following comments he made towards her during the premium live event pre-show and then suggested that Barrett completely avoided her at last week's WWE Raw when she presumably attempted to have said conversation. Barrett for his part disagreed with that assessment and indicated that the two did speak and Bella did not bring up her reservations with him at that time.
Posting to X, late last week, Barrett revealed that the two have now spoken and "smoothed things over", citing that the whole misunderstanding was due to a difference of opinion. This would be in reference to Barrett's comments (as a heel commentator) that while Bella was a pioneer of the women's division, she was desperately trying to prove herself with the new generation of women who essentially have taken the division to a whole new level.
Barrett meanwhile is on a planned leave of absence from WWE commentating for a couple weeks which he stressed has nothing to do with the incident with Bella.
