WWE NXT 2.0 Quick Recap for January 11, 2022

Matches Tonight: Seven (approx. 50 minutes)
  • Singles Match: Santos Escobar w/ Legado Del Fantasma vs Xyon Quinn. The somewhat disturbing stipulation: the winner gets Elektra Lopez's heart even though she clearly has shown no affection for Santos. Totally not creepy. Escobar won after Lopez kicked Quinn in the junk, setting him up for Santos to finish off. 8:09-8:20pm EST.
  • Singles Match: Damon Kemp vs Cameron Grimes. Short match that saw Grimes win easily. At least it wasn't a complete squash. 8:29-8:32pm EST.
  • Dusty Tag Team Classic Qualifier Match: Joe Gacy & Harland vs Malik Blade & Edris Enofe. Short match that saw Enofe & Blade win by DQ when Harland refused to stop kicking their asses in the corner. 8:41-8:44pm EST.
  • Crowbar on a Pole: Tony D'Angelo vs Pete Dunne. Decent match that saw D'Angelo pick up the win in a very close contest. 8:54-9:07pm EST.
  • Six-Woman Tag Match: Amari Miller and Kacy Catanzaro & Kayden Carter vs Indi Hartwell-Lumis, Persia Pirotta, & Wendy Choo. Wendy Choo, fka Mei Ying of Tian Sha fame and Karen Q, made her shiny, repackaged (as a sleepy woman in pajamas) debut. Short match but Choo was very impressive in her limited time in the ring. Her gimmick seems silly but she's got skills. 9:17-9:20pm EST.
  • Singles Match: Boa vs Solo Sikoa. Both men were counted out as a repackaged Boa showed a more vicious, physical side and brawled with Solo Sikoa out of the ring and to the back long after their match ended. Double count-out, no victor. 9:25-9:30pm EST.
  • Singles Main Event Match: Grayson Waller vs Monday Night Raw's AJ Styles. Great match--Styles can make anyone look like a superstar--that saw Styles pick up the win in a close match. Very worth watching, both men impressed. 9:51-10:05pm EST.
Miscellaneous Non-Match Segments of Note:
  • Breakker Speaks: Breakker opened our show and paid respect to Ciampa for his athleticism, his performance, but most important--for his outstanding status as a good human being. He then put the locker room on notice that he's ready for all challengers. 8:01-8:07.
  • Carmelo Hayes Speaks: North American Champion Hayes addressed the crowd, gloating about his win over Roderick Strong in last week's title unification match. 9:40-9:44pm EST.
  • Knight, Night: LA Knight returned, attacking Grayson Waller after the main event to a huge pop. After chasing off Waller, knight and Styles embraced friendly and posed to end our program.
