-- Tuesday's WWE NXT show trended upwards in viewership from last week, drawing an average audience of 724,000 - a very marginal increase from last week's 718,000 viewers. In the 18-49 demographic though, NXT was up to a 0.26, a big jump of 18% from last week and NXT's best figure in that demo since late 2019. It topped all cable shows in the key demo on the night. The strong numbers come even as NXT went head-to-head against a critical game five of the NHL playoffs that led all shows drawing 4.15 million viewers and a 1.15 rating.
-- The news was not as pleasant for AEW Dynamite on Wednesday. The show crashed in dramatic fashion, dropping all the way to 502,000 viewers - a decline of over 25% from last week. It is the least watched Wednesday episode of Dynamite in history. The only two episodes to draw lower were in 2021 when Dynamite was moved to Saturday to accommodate the NBA playoffs. In the 18-49 demo, Dynamite finished third on the night with a 0.16 rating, the lowest figure in the history of the show and another massive drop of 30% from last week; even the two Saturday shows in 2021 drew higher marks in the key demo. The only sports competition on the night were the College Baseball World Series and some coverage of the Olympic Trials on NBC.
