According to Fightful Select, WWE has had to pause the construction of its set for this weekend’s SummerSlam PLE due to heavy rainfall in the New York/New Jersey area. The report also mentioned that a shelter has been set up where the wrestling ring will be, and the stage and set area that were being assembled alongside the ringside area have not yet been completed.
As reported by NBC New York, a cold front is bringing heavy rain to the region. Additionally, there were flood warnings issued on Thursday afternoon, prompting everyone to evacuate the field at MetLife Stadium by 2:15 PM ET, with a shelter established for safety.
There is currently no update on when construction will resume; however, WWE sources have indicated that they are not concerned about whether the set will be completed on time.
