On June 2nd, WWE released a total of 6 Stars, including Lana, Murphy, Aleister Black, Braun Strowman, Santana Garrett and Ruby Riott reportedly due to budget cuts and their 90-day non-compete clause with the WWE is set to expire on Tuesday, August 31, which means that they will be able to sign with other pro wrestling promotions only after this date.
Interestingly though, WWE recently released new Braun Strowman merchandise on the official website of WWE Shop, one is a “Monsters Are Real” muscle shirt for $27.99 and the other is a “Monsters Are Real” tank top also for $27.99.
There is no word yet on if this means Strowman could return to the WWE down the line, but he has said on Twitter that he's ready to return to in-ring action and that he is itching for a fight. Braun also said that not doing anything feels like he is in jail. There's also no word yet on where Strowman may end up after his 90-day non-compete clause with the WWE expires, but WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry has said numerous times that he has been talking with Braun Strowman and he has shown interest in signing with AEW.
