WWE Reportedly Still Moving Forward With Plans For The ID Program Despite Recent Talent Cuts

As previously reported, this month has seen several talent cuts across WWE's LFG, NXT, EVOLVE, and WWE ID programs. Despite these recent cuts and some talents concluding their time in the program, WWE plans to continue its talent development through the WWE ID program.

Sean Ross Sapp mentioned in the latest Fightful Select Answers that while there may be a slight reduction in the size of the ID program, WWE is still actively recruiting for it and has future plans in place. Additionally, it was noted that WWE reportedly has active plans for the ID titles.

Sapp also explained that there will be instances where developmental talents are cut, which is a natural part of WWE's talent pipeline, often referred to as a "pipeline of a pipeline."

WWE launched its ID program in June 2024 as a complementary initiative to the Next In Line (NIL) program. The purpose of the ID program is to organize and assist in the development of independent-based professional wrestlers while providing them a pathway to eventually sign with WWE.

Associated schools with the ID program include Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling, Seth Rollins and Marek Brave’s Black and Brave Academy, Cody Rhodes’ Nightmare Factory, and the Elite Pro Wrestling Training Center.
