WWE has made a couple of announcements for next week's WWE Smackdown - the final TV show before WrestleMania 42 which takes place that weekend.
WWE will once again present the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal which has been taking place in recent years on the Smackdown before WrestleMania, mainly consisting of wrestlers who aren't able to get onto the main card on Saturday or Sunday. In the past, WWE held the battle royal actually on WrestleMania. The winner of the match gets bragging rights and a trophy; Carmelo Hayes is the two-time defending champion.
WWE also announced that a big eight-man tag team match will take place on Smackdown with the MFTs battling the Wyatts. The two groups have been feuding for weeks, if not months, over the late Bray Wyatt's lantern which currently is back in possession of the Wyatts.
Finally, WWE has vaguely promoted that stars from both the Raw and Smackdown brand will be on hand for the final show before WrestleMania.
