WWE's Speed titles were launched on Twitter/X but quietly disappeared several weeks ago with no announcement on the future of the either the men's or women's titles. However, it appears they have a new home - at least temporarily.
As announced last night on Heatwave by GM Ava, the WWE Speed titles will be making their way to NXT with the Women's Speed Championship getting a new #1 contender via a four-woman tournament that will commence on the September 2 episode of NXT.
While the competitors haven't been identified, there will be a wrestler from NXT, one from AAA, one from TNA as well as a wrestler from either Raw or Smackdown contesting to be the next challenger for the WWE Women's Speed championship currently held by Sol Ruca in a match at WWE NXT No Mercy at the end of September.
It was not shared when the WWE Men's Speed title would be defended next. That belt is currently held by El Grande Americano.
