According to Fightful Select, WWE star and New Day member Xavier Woods, who squared off against Penta on last Monday’s episode of RAW, mentioned to others after the match that his neck was “messed up.” Initially, it didn’t seem too serious, as he was able to get up and continue with his evening.
The report suggests that this could possibly be part of a storyline, especially since Woods shared a video discussing the dangers of the package piledriver. Additionally, he is known to push himself a bit too hard before DragonCon each year, which often leads to “injuries.” This year, DragonCon kicks off on the 28th. The report also noted that Woods was selling the injury throughout Monday night, even while dining at a restaurant post-show.
There is currently no information regarding the severity of Woods' injury; however, one source backstage indicated that he was seen wearing a neck brace later that evening.
