RAW Report 7/21/08 Mohegan Sun

Video review of Batista beating Punk last night at GAB until Kane gets involved and causes a DQ. Camera angle changes to Batista watching the video in the sound truck.

Music and pyro.

Batista’s music and he comes out to the ring looking rather pissed. He says he’d planned on coming out the champion, but since Kane decided to interfere, that’s not the case. This is what’s going to happen tonight... Shane’s not here, Steph’s not here, so he’s putting himself in charge. He’s making only one match - Punk defending his title against Batista. If Kane has a personal problem with him, which he seems to, he better find Batista before Batista finds him because if he screws up...
JBL cuts in from the tron and says he’s in charge of absolutely nothing. He had his chance last night and didn’t win. It doesn’t matter what happened. What makes him so special that he can demand a match? JBL on the other hand is special, he walked out a winner last night. That means the next World Title Match is his.
Batista laughs. He says they have a difference of opinion so JBL should come out so they can discuss it.
JBL says he’s the boss and people answer to him. The next title match will be when JBL takes his torch back at SS. His body doesn’t feel like a title match after last night. He’s finishing (JBL stumbles over Cena’s name a couple times, trying to call him other wrestlers until he gets the name right) Cena off - what’s left of him. Because Batista will not get a title shot...
Punk’s music cuts off JBL. Punk comes limping to the ring. Punk says JBL’s right about one thing, it’s the law of the jungle. We have the Animal Batista. Punk’s the champ, so he’s the King of the jungle and JBL needs to be quiet while he takes care of business. Punk says Kane screwed it up for him too. He wants to prove Batista is beatable. Punk thinks they should do it until they get it right. Batista wants a title shot, Punk says to do it.
JBL says he’s in charge and...
Batista says something and JBL’s sound cuts out. JBL’s screaming and yelling, but no sound is coming through. Batista says Punk is on and then leaves the ring.

Jenny McCarthy talks about WWE joining with her and her getting in the ring at SNME to fight autism together.

HBK’s music, but then it changes to Cade’s music. Cade comes stomping out to the ring with his new Austin-like look. He says HBK used to be his mentor and last night he took the beating of his life. He knows HBK’s there and listening. He invites HBK to the ring. He can come out after his match , during his match or right now. But if HBK does come out they will have words that they should have had a long time ago. Paul London’s music and he runs to the ring (his look his not changed at all since Kendrick got drafted).
Body lock on Cade. Forearms to Cade’s face. London misses a cross body. Back breaker to London. Knee into London’s back on the mat. Another back breaker to London followed by him stretching London over his leg. “HBK” chants. London fights out. London gets whipped but gets his feet up. London covers for two. Cade telegraphs and London jumps over him, but London then runs into a hard shoulder block. London is then slid hard, along the mat, into the ring post ribs first. Power bomb to London for three.

- Winner: Cade

Cade grabs the mic and says if that wasn’t enough to bring HBK out, then this will be. He announces the man who most likely ended HBK’s career - Y2J.
Y2J comes out in a pin striped suit with a white shirt partially unbuttoned and no tie.

- Commercial

Y2J says as much as Cade and everyone wants HBK to be there, he’s not coming. He’s going to Show us some disturbing footage that will show why HBK might never be in the ring again. The video footage is in black and white due to HBK’s blood loss (which I heard was the worst in recent years for a wrestler in WWE). Y2J is announced the winner while people check on a blood soaked HBK in the ring.
Everything we just saw is on all our heads. There’s no blood on Y2J’s hands. HBK came out to wrestle for the fans even though he’s hurt. He took once chance too many and now he’s paying for our sins. When he came back it was to save all of us, then he realized we don’t deserve to be save. We sided with a liar and egomaniac and will deal with those decisions for the rest of our lives. In all probability HBK’s career is over. He has cracked ribs, internal bleeding and a detached retina that will cause him to have trouble seeing for the rest of his life. In closing HBK’s eye it opened his eyes. He does feel he has to do anything for us any longer. We booed him and vilified him. We wanted the long haired guy who told jokes. Well, he’s grown up, but HBK hasn’t and we haven’t either. He’s proud of what happened last night. After taking out one of the most corrupt wrestlers he considers himself saved.
