RAW this week starts with a video of the start of Cena and Batista’s feud and follows it through their Tag Title Match last week where they were victorious. It was edited beautifully except this strange shakiness to it, sort of an earthquake effect.
Cena’s music and he comes out with his new Tag Title belt around his waist. He gets mixed reaction in the ring. He says two weeks ago Adamle made a match at SS for Cena and Batista to face for the first time ever. He’s never had an issue with Batista but then he suddenly has a match with him. Then somehow, last week, they become Tag Team Champs. It’s Adamle’s way of spicing things up. Adamle called him over earlier, addressed him by the wrong name 4-5 times, and asked what they could do to hype the match at SS. But Adamle doesn’t know what he’s done. He’s put Cena and Batista in the ring together for the first time ever. You don’t need to do anything to hype it. All you need is Cena and the Animal in the ring right now. (Batista said in an interview this week that he wasn’t happy about the way their SS match had been hyped. Wonder if he got in a bit of trouble about it and this is their way of reprimanding Batista for saying such a thing outside the company.)
Batista comes out to the ring. He says that Cena wanted him and here he is.
Cena says he did because they went to battle last week together and won. He says to the fans that they’re looking at the Tag Team Champs. But the bad thing is that they have a rematch tonight and need to find a way to get along. But on Sunday they’ll be facing each other. A match six years in the making. He’s never admitted it but he’s been watching Batista for six years. Batista was hand picked and hand groomed by the two best in the business, HHH and Flair. Cena didn’t have that but he came down that ramp every week and turned critics into believers (this got him heat). Every week he has a nation who goes to battle with him. Both of their resumes are impressive, but they haven’t answered one thing, which of them is better. On Sunday they answer that question, and it’s going to be big.
Batista smirk and says he’s been watching Cena too. They’re two different sides to the same coin. They both have won RR and the main event of WM. They’ve both done it all. He’s seen Cena get standing ovations and get booed out of the building, but he hasn’t changed who he is and Batista appreciates that. He wouldn’t do a lot of what Cena does. But a lot of people over 15 want to see him beat Cena senseless. Sunday Batista’s going to answer the question (who’s better) and the answer is going to be Batista.
Cena extends his hand and gets heat for it. Batista grasps his hand as they glare at each other. They let go and Cena leaves the ring. Batista watches him go.

Kelly comes out to the ring in (eye burning) pink pants and bikini top. George Thorogood is in the front row. Beth comes out in her black halter jumper with Santino in tow. Santino goes to the announce table.
Kelly attacks Beth hard and shockingly. Beth slams her down but gets head scissors that toss her face first into the middle turn buckle. Beth slams Kelly down hard, face first. Beth kicks Kelly in the face. Beth somehow bends Kelly over the bottom rope and chokes her with a knee. Beth picks Kelly up over her head.
King asks Santino if Beth flings him around like that. He says yes, then stammers and says he doesn’t know what King means.
Kelly climbs down Beth’s back and covers her for two. Beth gets Kelly up in the double chicken wing and slams her face first to the mat and covers for three.

Santino gets in the ring and says to send a message to Mickie and Kofi. He wants Beth to do another move and tells her which one. She’s about to but Mickie and Kofi run into the ring and they leave quickly.
Santino says they’ll see them at SS. He challenges to a match right then and there.
Kofi says they can do it right there and now.
Santino says he wasn’t talking to him, he’s talking to her. If he’s facing a woman on Sunday he need to know where and where not he can put his hand. He knows it’s Mickie’s hometown and her mommy and daddy are there.
Kofi says she won’t do it, no way.
Mickie grabs the mic from him and accepts.
Santino says he’ll put her back in the kitchen where she belongs.

They’re dancing around the ring not sure how to start. He goes at her and she rolls out of the way. They lock up and she gets a side head lock on him. He gets out. Side head lock takeover to Mickie. Santino legs sweeps Mickie for two, she does the same to him. Mickie gets on Santino’s back and “rides him” while slapping his ass. He tries to knee drop on her and she moves. A kick to the back of Santino’s knee and he’s faking an injury. Kofi gets on the apron and Beth enters to fling Mickie shoulder first into the ring post. Santino rushes over and rolls Mickie up, holding her tights, for three.

Santino limps from the ring then runs around the ring. He jumps into Beth’s arms with his sweaty chest against her face. She pushes him off and he grasps his left knee as if it hurts. They go backward up the ramp, his arm over her shoulders, both of them talking smack to Kofi and Mickie.

Kane walks in.
Adamle says there’s too many matches for SS and he wants to do an ‘Adamle Original’ by having a special SS match tonight between him and Y2J. After the match Kane has to hand over the burlap sack.
Kane says Adamle doesn’t want to do that.
Adamle says in a month the kids will be going back to school and he doesn’t want little boys walking around with burlap sacks scaring people. He needs to hand it over, win or loose. Or he can hand it over now.
Kane growls and says Adamle doesn’t want to do that and stomps off.

WWE 24/7 Classics 10/22/79 at MSG Ivan Putski and Tito Santana beat The Valiant Bros. For the Tag Titles.
Cody and Ted are back stage. Cody gives the date in 1979. He says they were not born yet. He says they won those titles because they were a team. Cena and Batista are not a team. No matter what we saw earlier they’re working on jealousy and egotism. Putski and Santana were in their 50's when they were put in the HOF, they’re in their 20's and are further along in their careers than most at their age. Tonight they will earn their respect as they work as a team and earn back their Tag Team Titles.

Cryme Tyme comes out to the ring. The Highlanders are in the ring. (Rory and Robbie are both wearing black Utilikilts rather than their usual plaid kilts. Utilikilts are built specifically with straps inside so they don’t fly up and expose the wearer’s naughty bits. That might be the reason for the change of ring gear.)
Rory kicks Shad and tries to gain control but gets slammed down. JTG gets a blind tag and flies over the ropes for a shoulder block on Rory for two. Rory sends JTG outside and slams JTG into the side fo the ring. Back in the ring Rory covers for two. Hammer lock on JTG. JTG flips Rory over his head and tags in Shad. Robbie also tags in. Shad gets Robbie up and hits a long vertical suplex for three.

King and Cole talk about WWE.com and how Orton re-injured his shoulder last night in a motorcycle accident. They said he slid over 300 feet from his bike.
The inside of the ring is set up with a table. One chair on each side and something covered with black fabric in the middle. Video of JBL beating Punk in the last seconds of their Ten Minute Handicap Match last week. CM PUNK comes out to the ring to huge pop.
They both pick up the mics off the table. JBL says he’s so glad that in six days Punk’s pathetic...
Punk tells him to shut up. He’s been listening to the same old argument, oddly mostly from JBL since he won the title. The World Championship is around his waist because he earned it. For all the naysayers and people who say he doesn’t deserve it. They’re less than one week from SS, the PPV he’s seen every installment of. He remembers being a little Punker wishing to be in the main event. He’s going to win and prove to everyone, Cena, Batista, everyone he’s the man.
Cena and Batista? JBL says he held the title on SD! longer than both of them together. He built this business and they all came to see him (he gets serious heat for this). He goes on to talk about bingo halls and Cinderella stories. He says he can do anything he chooses to do. He’s going six days before he beats Punk up. He pulls the black fabric off and it’s a bottle of Jack Daniels. He calls Punk Mr. StraightEdge. He says he doesn’t do anything bad and doesn’t embarrass himself. If Punk will drink one drink JBL will concede to him he won the contest. He will beat a wrestling god.
Punk holds up the shot glass.
JBL says he wants to see if Punk’s willing to check his morals at the door as JBL will. If he won’t then JBL will win the title as easily as he wins this drinking contest.
Punk asks what JBL’s trying to prove? That he’s just like JBL? He’s not JBL, he’s CM PUNK. He’s willing to check his body at the door, but not compromise his beliefs. He is World Heavyweight Champion. He won’t let any bully shoehorn him into his persona. So thanks, but no thanks. Punk puts the glass down.
JBL says he did not know Punk brought his soapbox and his Quixotic view of life. JBL says he’ll toast to Punk.
Punk says he’s changed his mind. If anyone will be doing a toast it will be the Champion. Here’s to you JBL - the throws the shot glass of booze in his face. He attacks JBL sending him into a corner then knees him in the chest. Punk leaves the ring and laughs at JBL as he backs up the ramp.

Video of HBK last week during his interview and what’s wrong with his eye. He talks about doing exactly as his doctor wants him to do for the first time in his life. If there’s any risk to his sight, he’s prepared to walk away. He’ll tell us at SS.
Y2J’s music and he comes out for his match with Cade in tow (guess his broken nose is doing better). Kane comes out, burlap sack in hand, to face him. Kane picks up his sack after the fire from the four corners. He puts it in his corner.
Kane is distracted by Cade and Y2J attacks him, backing him into a corner. Drop kick by Kane. He bounces Y2J’s face off a corner. Huge arm drag to Y2J and he tries to drop an elbow, but Y2J moves. Y2J tries to fling Kane across the ring, Kane holds the ropes and then tosses Y2J over the ropes and out. Kane goes out and flings Y2J back in the ring. Cade grabs Kane’s ankle while the ref isn’t looking. He lets go and Y2J hits a low drop kick on Kane’s leg. Kane drops to the apron and rolls in. Y2J locks on a sleeper type hold but Kane elbows out quickly and tosses Y2J down to the mat. Kane clotheslines Y2J in a corner. Kane hits a huge right hand dropping Y2J to the mat. Kane rushes Y2J in a corner, but Y2J moves. Y2J tries to lock in the walls, but Kane powers out. Sidewalk slam to Y2J. Kane climbs but Y2J rushes over and takes his feet out. Y2J climbs up for a superplex but Kane sends him flying. Kane gets up top and hits a flying clothesline.
Adamle and a group of security guys come down to the ring. The security surrounds the ring.
Y2J tries to gain control but runs into a big boot. Kane grabs the sack and hugs it to his chest. Y2J hits the code breaker and covers Kane for three.

Kane sits in the middle of the ring hugging his sack to his chest. Adamle gets in the ring and says he knows it’s difficult for him and he’s there to help. He knows what’s in the bag. He knows who he’s referring to when he asks if he’s alive or dead. He’s the monster inside of Kane. Kane’s tried to be a normal person but can’t do it. He’s struggling for the answer inside. When he made the declaration that’s he’s dead he showed he can exorcize his demons and lead a normal life. Yes, he can. He can lead that normal life by giving Adamle the bag.
Kane hugs the bag to his chest.
Adamle says he knows what’s in the bag and thinks that the people should know what’s in it too. They need to get to the bottom of it and right now. He promises Kane can have a normal life if he opens the bag. He tells Kane to hand him the bag.
Kane is still hugging it to his chest. Kane steps to Adamle and grabs the mic from him. He says there’s a mask in the bag. The man who wore it has been scared and tortured and damaged beyond all recognition. The problem is that it’s not Kane’s mask (he’s right in Adamle’s face screaming this). He takes out Rey’s mask. He says it’s Rey Mysterio, laughs maniacally and leaves the ring.

Jamie Noble’s in the ring. Video of Regal interrupting Layla last week. Jamie had heard enough and attacked Regal. Security had to separate them. Regal comes out to face him.
Regal back Jamie to a corner and knees him in the gut. He drags Jamie from the ring and tosses him around a bit. Back in the ring Regal covers for two. Regal ends up sitting on the mat in a corner, Jamie runs and flips himself landing his back on Regal’s face. Jamie covers for two. Regal punches Jamie in the head and covers for three.

SD! Rebound - Chavito and Vickie were talking out back, Vickie was holding a black rose. Edge came in and she says he’s made her miserable. He talked about how they can’t be attacked by Taker the way Hawkins and Rider were. Vickie wouldn’t even look at Edge.
Edge went to the ring and called out Taker. Taker didn’t come out and Edge attacked Chavito. He then dumps Vickie from her wheelchair. He told her she should not be afraid of Taker, she should be afraid of him. He said he’s going to take Taker to hell with him. He’s going to take the whole family down to hell with him. He’s going to take Vickie down to hell with him.

The fans voted and Cena is the bigger star (then Batista) by 73%!
Cena’s music and he comes out to the ring for his Tag Title Match. Batista comes out and joins him (strange, heels usually come out first for the main event).

Cody and Ted are in the ring. Cena and Batista re discussing who will start the match. Finally Cena steps back and lets Batista start.
The bell rings and Cena immediately tags Batista on the back and enters. Cody traps Cena in the heel corner and works him over. They exchange blows. Cody hits a Russian leg sweep for two. Cena ducks a clothesline and hits a flying shoulder block. Side slam to Cody and Cena hits a cheap shot on Ted. Cena walks over to Batista and does a ‘you can’t see me’ to Batista. Five knuckle shuffle to Cody.

Ted as a head lock on Cena in the center of the ring. Cena gets up and out fo the hold. Cena sends Ted hard in the corner for snake eyes. Batista tags in and takes Ted apart. Batista sets up for a Batista bomb but stares at Cena and says something. Cena rushes in and pulls Ted away. The ref tries to get Cena out of the ring and Cody rushes in and hits a chop block on Batista. Batista looks like he’s hurting. Cody runs at Batista who scoops him up and slams him to the mat hard. Batista hobbles over to Cena how has his hand out for the tag. Batista bitch slaps Cena for the tag. Ted quickly rolls Cena up for three.

Batista is outside and not happy. Cena calls Batista in the ring. They’re face to face but then both turn and beat down Cody and Ted who are about to attack them both from behind. Outside Batista sends Ted into the stairs. Batista gets back in the ring, but Cena’s walking up the ramp. Batista calls Cena in, but Cena keeps walking. The fans don’t like this. Finally Cena stops, turns and heads back. As Cena climbs in the ring a ton of security rush in and stop them both.
Adamle comes out. Fans are screaming, “Let them fight!” They finally break loose and attack each other. They fall in the center of the ring and all the security pile on top of them. They get separated but break free again. Refs come out and join in the fray.
The show actually ends at 11:00PM and not 6-8 minutes past!
