As previously reported, immediately following the main event of last night's Money in the Bank Event, where WWE Universal Champion "The Tribal Chief" Roman Reigns successfully retained his title against WWE Hall of Famer Edge thanks to Seth Rollins interfering in the match on two separate occasions, WWE legend and 16-time World Champion John Cena made his return and confronted the WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.
The 16-time World Champion confronted Reigns in the middle of the ring and did his “you can’t see me” hand gesture, which caused the crowd to cheer him and explode. Last night's WWE Money in the Bank PPV then went off the air with Cena posing in the corner, then facing the crowd as Reigns was staring him down. "The Head Of The Table" Roman Reigns is expected to defend his WWE Universal Title against John Cena at next month's WWE SummerSlam PPV Event.
Not only did John Cena cut a promo last night after Money in the Bank, but WWE announced that he will kick off tonight's episode of Monday Night RAW from the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas and explain why he made his return on last night's Money in the Bank PPV Event, which was the 16-time WWE World Champion's first appearance since WrestleMania 36 in 2020.
WWE also took to their Twitter account and posted a video of John Cena promoting and hyping tonight's episode of RAW as well as his appearance.
