205 LIVE RESULTS (10/11/2019)
Drew Gulak & Tony Nese vs. Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch
The show kicks off with the advertised Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch vs. Drew Gulak and Tony Nese tag-team match.
Both teams make their way to the ring, the bell sounds and here we go with our first match of the evening here on the returning edition of 205 Live.
Lorcan and Gulak lock up early in the match with Lorcan getting an early two count after some quick offense. Gulak tagged Nesse in and Burch tags in as well.
Lorcan and Burch do double team moves on Nese and then the dust settles and the heels remain in the offensive lead here in the early goings. Moonsault and quick cover by Nesse only getting the two count once again.
The heels start to take back over the offense in this one and they stay in remain for a while now. Gulak is the legal man, as is Lorcan. Lorcan is doing a good job of hulking up and taking over things as Nese appears to be temporarily out of the picture, with the announcers referring to this as a two-on-one situation.
Gulak is back in the picture now as the babyfaces show signs of life in this tag-team opener. All four guys in the ring now, exchanging blows. Lorcan lands a mean European uppercut and a DDT. This leads the 1-2-3.
Winners: Danny Burch & Oney Lorcan
Isiah "Sweve" Scott Vignette, NXT Cruiserweight Title Update
An Isiah "Swerve" Scott vignette airs promoting his rise through the ranks. We then shoot to the announce team who introduces another video package, which shows Drew Gulak reacting to losing the Cruiserweight title to Lio Rush, and Rush's reaction to winning the belt.
Ariya Daivari vs. Chris Brey
We shoot back live inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, where Aiden English and Tom Phillips introduce us back to in-ring action. The second bout on tonight's episode of 205 Live features Airya Daivari making his way to the ring for action.
Daivari gets on the mic and cuts a quick promo on his way to the ring. He will be in one-on-one action against SOMETHING Bey. The bell sounds and here we go. Daivari jumps off to an early lead in the match. The action spills to the floor.
On the outside of the ring, Daivari smashes Bey into the ring steps. The action returns inside the ring. Daivari slams Bey down to the mat and now Bey fights back with forearm blasts. Out of nowhere, however, Daivari gets the hammerlock lariat. 1-2-3.
Winner: Ariya Daivari
205 Live Draft Video
A video is shown from the WWE Draft regarding Kalisto, Gran Metalik and Lince Dorado -- The Lucha House Party -- being drafted to SmackDown LIVE. 205 Live tweets out that they are "going to miss the party."
No Disqualification Match
Akira Tozawa vs. The Brian Kendrick
We see some WWE Draft video packages and then the announcers English and Phillips promote the WWE Draft and some of the fun that could arise from it.
From there the bell rings, Akira Tozawa's theme hits and the ring announcer introduces our No Disqualification Match coming up next. Tozawa will go one-on-one against The Brian Kendrick. Highlights of three weeks ago with Kendrick and Tozawa are shown leading into tonight's No DQ match.
Now The Brian Kendrick is making his way down to the ring here at the T-Mobile Arena. Kendrick pulls a kendo stick from beneath the ring and proceeds to punish Tozawa. Tozawa gets the upper hand throwing Kendrick out of the ring who once again goes under the ring to grab something, taking advantage of the "No DQ" rule for this match up.
Tozawa makes his way back into the ring. Kendrick gets a DDT on Tozawa in the center of the ring onto a chair that had been thrown in earlier. Kendrick once again attacks Tozawa with the kendo stick, then head under the ring grabbing some duct tape. Tozawa stuck between the top two ropes as Kendrick continues to beat Tozawa over and over with the kendo stick.
Tozawa still stuck between the ropes as Kendrick begins to set up multiple chairs in the center of the ring, setting up a makeshift bridge of sorts. Kendrick removes the duct tape from around Tozawa's wrists from the top rope. Tozawa quickly turns things around on Kendrick dropping Kendrick onto the chairs.
Tozawa now on the outside of the ring looking for something, unable to find anything, he re-enters the ring. Tozawa starts stacking chairs already in the ring, jumping out to throw several more chairs into the ring creating a "bed" of chairs. Tozawa gets Kendrick with a boot to the face, and a failed suplex attempt as Kendrick drops to his knees.
They keep teasing reversals of suplex attempts, Tozawa finally succeeding. Tozawa endures damage himself from his landing on the chairs. Both men struggle to their feet. More weapons are used, we get a big table spot on the floor. Tozawa throws Kendrick back inside the ring, stacking chairs on Kendrick's chest.
Mike Kanellis comes out of nowhere and attacks Tozawa. He drags Kendrick over and places him on top of Tozawa. Tozawa is too weakened to do anything. 1-2-3. Kendrick wins.
Winner: The Brian Kendrick
