WWE Champion John Cena was injured last night during WWE's overseas tour of Europe.
According to WWE.com, he injured his right Achilles tendon during a match against Ryback. Cena was actually teaming with Kane and Daniel Bryan against the team of Ryback, Dolph Ziggler and Big E Langston. The show took place in Lodz, Poland and was the final stop on the tour before WWE flew back to the United States for tomorrow night's WWE RAW from Columbus, Ohio.
It's worth noting that none of the live reports we've seen from the show mentioned that Cena appeared to be injured. The WWE website report states:
The injury raises questions about the scheduled match between Cena and Ryback at Extreme Rules on May 19. What lies ahead for the Cenation leader? Does this put Ryback one step closer to capturing the WWE Title?
At this point, there are no definitive details as to the extent of the injury - and what it means for Cena's upcoming WWE Title defense against Ryback at Extreme Rules.
WWE is teasing that we'll get an update on RAW.
