Show starts with Vickie Guerrero in the ring. She says ladies and gentleman welcome to Friday Night SmackDown. She says on behalf of the entire McMahon family she has cleared the air with Triple H since she has left Monday Night Raw, and she introduces the new WWE champion Randy Orton. Orton's music hits, and he comes out to a mixed reaction. Orton says as your new WWE Champion he promises to give you what you want and deserve as champion. He says he promises that you will aspire to be me. Orton says he will be a role model. He says he promises to tell the truth and that's exactly what he did. Orton says he told each of you especially Daniel Bryan when he cashed in the Money in the Bank contract none of you would see it coming. Orton says no one should be surprised by what happened including Daniel Bryan except him. Orton says he didn't know Triple H was going to Pedigree Daniel Bryan, but what is a man to do? Orton says he didn't need Triple H's help or The Shield's help on Raw. He says he greatly appreciates the support from the entire McMahon family. He asks everyone for their support as well. Mixed reaction from the crowd. Orton says after all he's not only the WWE Champion but this (he points to his face) and says this is the face of the WWE. Daniel Bryan's music hits, and he comes out to a big pop. Bryan stands at the end of the ramp and stares at Orton. Bryan grabs a mic and gets in the ring. Bryan says before he addresses the face of the WWE. He says he wanted to say what he wanted to say on Raw before he was rudely interrupted by Stephanie McMahon. Bryan says thank you to John Cena. He says thank you for the opportunity to wrestle him at Summerslam and for being bold and crazy enough to wrestle with a bad shoulder. Bryan says it gave him the chance to feel what it feels like to be WWE Champion. Bryan says and as far as the face of the WWE goes, it's time for that face to change. "Yes!" chants. Bryan says you guys have to understand I don't look like Randy Orton. Bryan says he's chiseled, he's tall like 6'5", and he's pretty. Bryan says I can see why Triple H likes him so much. Bryan says he's just so so pretty and not to mention arrogant. Bryan says and why wouldn't he be? Bryan says he's been handed every opportunity and created success because his grandfather and father were here, and he has been given the genetic golden ticket to be in WWE, but he can't get over how pretty he is. Bryan says ladies and gentleman give it up for Randy Orton. Bryan says so pretty it makes me want to kick you in the face because he had to scratch and claw all over the place just to get an ounce of respect. Bryan says just to climb the ladder of success because he is not tall and not pretty, but he can wrestle and I can beat you. Bryan says and Randy I can beat you for that (points to WWE Championship). Bryan says now ladies and gentleman I am entitled to a rematch for the WWE Championship (big pop), and I want that rematch to happen tonight (big pop). "Yes!" chants. Orton says sorry short stuff you have to wait till Night of Champions. Staredown between Orton and Bryan. Orton raises title above his head. Orton attempts an RKO, but Bryan counters with a kick to the face. "Yes!" chants. Bryan yells, "C'mon Randy. Cole says the new face of WWE is embarrassed by Bryan. More "Yes!" chants.
Hype for Christian vs. Alberto Del Rio is shown. Curtis Axel is shown backstage with Paul Heyman.
Back from commercial break, Vickie Guerrero is shown backstage on the phone. She says Daniel Bryan has no reason to be out there it was Orton's moment. Wade Barrett is shown. Barrett says you, the McMahon's, and I all have something in common. He says mutual dislike for Daniel Bryan. He says he wants to make sure Daniel Bryan doesn't get a rematch with Orton. Barrett says put me in a match with Daniel Bryan tonight. Vickie says great idea and runs through a couple ideas and eventually settles on a Steel Cage Match.
Cody Rhodes' music hits, and he comes out. Curtis Axel's music hits, and he is out next with Paul Heyman. A recap of Raw is shown showing the brawl between CM Punk and Curtis Axel. In the end, Punk hits GTS on Axel onto the steel steps.
First Match: Cody Rhodes vs. Curtis Axel
Kick to the midsection to start. Rhodes fights back and gets a waistlock. Axel with a dropkick on Rhodes. Back body drop by Axel, but Rhodes lands on the apron. Drop kick by Rhodes off the top for 2. Axel pulls Cody's foot off the apron, and Cody lands spine first on the apron. Axel then drives Rhodes kidney first into the apron on the outside. Back from commercial break, elbows by Axel. Pin attempt for 2 by Axel. Snapmare takeover by Axel. Pin attempt for 2 by Axel. Reverse chin lock by Axel. Cody fights out. Axel with a clothesline. Axel misses an elbow drop from second rope. Right hands by Cody. Big uppercut by Cody. Rhodes kicks Axel. In the corner, Axel counters the Disaster Kick with a kick of his own. "CM Punk!" chants. In the corner, Rhodes counters Axel with a roll up off the second rope for 2. Cody with a clothesline. Cody goes up top. Heyman distracts Cody, and Axel moves the ropes and crotches Cody. Axel hits his Neckbreaker finisher for 3.
After the match, Heyman says ladies and gentleman I stand before you tonight not just in pain but in agony as a direct result from the actions of CM Punk. "CM Punk!" chants. Heyman says you're about to choke on the cheers because he is in emotional distress. Heyman says an athlete to be considered "the best in the world" is a sad, pathetic loser. He says at Summerslam he was pinned by Brock Lesnar. He says Punk went off the rails. Heyman says Punk is in a downward spiral. Heyman says his actions on Raw were that of a mad man. He says Punk never stood a chance against Brock Lesnar without Heyman. Heyman says Punk is lost without Paul Heyman. He says Axel has found himself and has gained victory after victory after victory after victory. Axel says Punk doesn't deserve an Intercontinental title match. Axel sats he assaulted him with a chair on Monday. Axel says he is going to finish the job that Brock Lesnar gave him at Summerslam. Axel says he challenges Punk to a match on Raw. Axel says his future is better than his. Axel says I'm younger and more athletic than him, and he says he has someone in his corner named Paul Heyman.

Back from commercial break, A.J. Lee is shown at ringside. Langston's music hits, and he comes out. Dolp Ziggler's music hits and he is out next. Recap of raw is shown showing The Shield vs. Dolph Ziggler. The Shield wins by a Spear from Roman Reigns and then followed up with a triple powerbomb.
Second Match. Big E Langston vs. Dolph Ziggler
Langston cheap shots Ziggler and throws Ziggler into the turnbuckle. Ref is yelling at Langston to stay off of Ziggler. Bell rings and the match officially starts. Ziggler with some right hands, but Langston counters with a back body drop for 2. Right hands by Langston. Splash by Langston for 2. Reverse chin lock by Langston. Ziggler with a jawbreaker to counter. Langston goes shoulder first into the ring post. Ziggler with a big splash in the corner. Swinging neckbreaker by Ziggler then a dropkick. Langston with a powerbomb attempt, but Ziggler counters into an X Factor. Off a distraction by A.J., Langston hits a big clothesline for 2. Langston attempts Big Ending, but Ziggler counters with the Zig Zag for 3. A.J. is shown screaming from ringside.

Third Match: Christian vs. Alberto Del Rio
Tie up to start. In the corner, Del Rio with some kicks to the midsection on Christian. Then with some right hands. Del Rio charges Christian, but Christian back drops Del Rio over the top to the outside. Baseball slide by Christian sends Del Rio into the barricade. Big uppercut by Christian. Christian goes up top but gets down as Del Rio walks back up the entrance ramp. Back from commercial break, Del Rio with some kicks to the leg. Christian fights back with some uppercuts. Del Rio with a chop sends Christian to the outside. On the outside, Del Rio with some kicks to a grounded Christian. In the ring, Del Rio with a pin attempt for 2. Del Rio with a hammerlock. Christian fights out. Kick to the head by Christian. Tilt a whirl backbreaker by Del Rio for 2. Del Rio chokes Christian on the ropes. Del Rio with some right hands on Christian. Del Rio misses a splash. Christian hangs Del Rio on the top rope. Christian with some right hands on Del Rio. For arm by Christian. In the corner, Christian with some rights on Del Rio. Back body drop by Christian. Off the top, Christian misses a body press. Pin attempt by Del Rio for 2. Del Rio with some head butts on Christian. In the corner, Del Rio misses a kick. Christian attempts to fight out but eventually taps out.
After the match, Del Rio says he knows all the Mexicans look up to him, but you can't be like him because you're peasants. Del Rio says relax relax that doesn't mean because you are the son or daughter of a peasant you have to be one. Del Rio says you can be something else. Del Rio says follow your leader the great Alberto Del Rio. Ricardo Rodriguez is out. Ricardo says follow you to greatness not me. Rodriguez says especially not this guy who exemplifies greatness every night. Ricardo says he doesn't look down on people he stands up for them. Ricardo introduces Rob Van Dam. RVD's music hits, and he comes out. In the ring, Christian gets a missile drop kick and then RVD hits Rolling Thunder on Del Rio. RVD and Ricardo are in the ring with the World Heavyweight Championship.

Fourth Match: Big Show and Mark Henry vs. 3MB
Show starts with a chop on Heath Slater. Henry in, Slater with some kicks on Henry but then bounces off Henry after a shoulder block attempt. Henry misses a splash. Macintyre with some rights on Henry. Mahal and Macyntire double team Henry. Mahal with some shots on Henry. Slater with a kick to Henry then a few more. Right hands by Slater. Big shoulder block by Henry. Show with some clotheslines on Slater. Back body drop on Macyntire by Show. Then a big shoulder block by Show on Macyntire. Show with a Chokeslam on Macyintire for 2. Broke up by Slater. Show throws Slater into Henry for a World's Strongest Slam. Knockout Punch by Show on Mahal for 3. After the match, The Shield is shown on the Titan Tron. Roman Reigns says Show and Henry I told you to step up. Rollins says clearly you did not get the message. He says they are going to have a lot of fun knocking him down again, and the clock is ticking on your time here. Reigns says we'll never respect Henry. Rollins says the two of you want a shot at the tag titles, but they're just one problem with that they're better than them. "Believe in that, believe in The Shield!"

Ryback tears the autograph up and tells the guy he is a scrawny punk.

"Daniel Bryan!" chants. Tie up goes to the corner, and Barrett with some right hands. Bryan counters with some right hands. Big kick by Bryan with Barrett. In the corner, Bryan with some kicks then some right hands. Barrett with a big boot. Barrett with some right hands on Bryan. Barrett rams Bryan face first into the cage. Barrett with a pin attempt for 2. Barrett charges, but Bryan counters and low bridges Barrett into the cage. Bryan runs into Winds of Change by Barret for 2. Back from commercial break, Barrett with a big boot to Bryan. Barrett with a pin attempt for 2. Bryan with a head butt, and Bryan rams Barrett's head into the cage several times. After the match, Bryan with some "Yes!" chants on the outside. Out of nowhere, Orton delivers an RKO to Bryan and holds the WWE Championship over Daniel Bryan.
