WWE Velocity & Smackdown! *Spoilers* (11/22/05) - Sheffield, England

Report by: Brett Hadley, rajah.com reader

Back from Smackdown, and overall, in terms of action, it was much better than Raw
live.

Here's the results :

The Kid Rock desire video was played. Hogan and Bret got major Pops. Cena got
major heat when he came on at the end. We really didn't like him here at all!

Velocity :

Kid Kash over local guy. Kash was well over. Lots of ECW Chants.
MnM over London + Kendrick
Sylvan over Funaki
Simon Dean over local guy.

Tazz + Michael Cole came out. Tazz got in the ring and thanked us for the support
since Eddie's passing, much like Vince did the previous evening.

Smackdown :

Booker T vs Benoit was a draw as a double pin was counted by 2 refs after the
original ref took a bump. Out comes Teddy Long, to vacate the title, and announce a
Best of 7 series between the 2. First match @ Survivor Series. (I Was sat thinking
*Haven't we been here before?!*)

The Dicks (what a REDICULOUS Name) Defeated LOD. Very ....dull. You just can't
take The Dicks seriously.

Eric Bischoff shown in the back, saying Raw is closer than you think......

Matt Hardy beat Mr Kennedy by DQ. Ken Kennedy was SO SO SO Over. ALL night there
were people doing his catchphrase. I'll be hearing it in my sleep. The crowd
chanted along with him, until he insulted the UK, and regained his heel heat. He
threatened to use a chair, and the ref DQ'd him. Bit of a weak ending.

Melina (We got to see her enterance twice, lucky us) Defeated Christie Hemme.
Average diva match. MnM got ejected from ringside.

Chris Masters + Carlito entered through the crowd, proved they'd bought a ticket and
sat in the front row...

Juvi defeated Nunzio to win the Cruiserweight title back. We got shown the switch
from Italy last week, and the super-over Mexicools' entrance was cool.

JBL + Rey Mysterio vs William Regal + Paul Birchill never really got going. HBK
came in through the crowd and superkicked JBL back to America. Carlito + Masters
came in and beat down Mysterio until Holly, Benoit and LOD came out and ran off the
RAW guys.

Lashley defeated Orlando Jordan in under a minute in a rather pointless repeat of
last week's match.

Teddy Long ordered the whole Smackdown locker room down to the ring to make sure
no-one interfered in the main event...

Randy Orton vs Batista never really happened. Smackdown surrounded the ring, but
Kane + Big Show came through the crowd, followed quickly by the whole of the Raw
locker room! Mass brawling ensued for a good few minutes, before the Raw guys
retreated up the stage.

After the cameras went off, the Smackdown guys stayed out, and got some Eddie signs
from the crowd, and posed with them to Eddie's music. Another touching moment.
Great end to the show.

All in all, it was better than Raw for matches and flowing action. The crowd wasn't
left bored at all. We were expecting The Undertaker (there was a chant when the
mass brawl went on) But he never came. Guess they're saving that for Sunday.

All in all, a great 2 nights worth of action.

I'm shattered!

Peace!
